Data controller

The controller is the operator of montessorihemma.se (currently the individual behind the site; to be transferred to the company once registered). Contact: hej@montessorihemma.se.

What data we process

• Account: your email and a hashed password if you create an account.
• Chat: your questions and the answers you receive are stored with your account if you are logged in. Do not enter sensitive personal data about you or your child in the chat.
• Community: content you publish yourself. Don't include identifiable details about your child.
• Emails you send us, so we can reply.
• Anonymous visitor statistics (see Cookies).

Cookies

We use a strictly necessary session cookie for login and a small cookie that counts today's free questions. Visitor statistics (Vercel Analytics) are cookieless and anonymous, so they don't require consent. We set no tracking or advertising cookies.

How we make money (affiliate links)

The shop contains affiliate links. If you click and buy something we may earn a commission — it doesn't affect your price. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click, we anonymously record which product area was clicked (no personal data). Amazon then processes your data under its own privacy policy.

AI answers

The chat sends your question to AI providers (Anthropic and OpenAI) to search Sara's reviewed material and compose an answer. Do not send sensitive data in the chat.

Legal basis

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for account and community, and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for operation, security and replying to email.

Recipients and international transfers

We share data with the providers needed to run the service: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Anthropic/OpenAI (AI answers) and Amazon (when you click an affiliate link). Some of these process data in the US; transfers use appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses / Data Privacy Framework).

Retention

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Chat and community content is kept while your account exists or until you ask us to remove it.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. Contact us at hej@montessorihemma.se. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
